Demand for home remodeling of detached houses / condominiums / rental housing is on the rise while the number of new constructions is sluggish (in Japan).

Due to the influence of Covid-19, people spend more time at home, and they are becoming more aware of changing the floor plan. In addition, as the number of elderly people increases, demand for remodeling such as barrier-free construction tends to increase.

At such sites, the work space for demolition and post-construction is actually limited and narrow, and it is necessary to work carefully so as not to damage the existing walls or floors.

VESSEL releases on February 2, 2022 “Scaffold Worker Socket <JAWS LOCK> (No.MLS20179)”.

Clamp fittings for fixing single-tube scaffolding are reused many times. Each time they are attached or detached, the “corner” of the clamp nut wears. And, in some cases, the corners are often too rounded to turn with a regular socket. In that case, the only way to remove such rounded nuts is to destroy it with a hammer.

As a solution of these problems at the construction sites, VESSEL has developed the “Scaffold Worker Socket <JAWS LOCK> (No.MLS20179)”.

In order to be able to turn even a hexagon nut with rounded corners, we designed “Scaffold Worker Socket <JAWS LOCK> (No.MLS20179)” so that the force is applied to the “side” instead of the “corner” due to surface contact. Furthermore, when loosening (counterclockwise), a “jagged part” in the socket bites into the rounded nut and enables to turn.

In addition, for the measures against the shank breakage due to the repeated work of attachment and detachment of many clamps, the shank is pressed into the socket head with a shock absorbing resin. As a result, durability is enhanced up to 5 times compared to the conventional scaffold worker socket.

VESSEL releases on June 2, 2021 “Ion Parts Cleaner 《IPC-V4》”.

VESSEL launched the “Ion Parts Cleaner” series in 2004, as a solution of troubles caused by re-attachment of dust and particles, due to static electricity, which were once blown off the workpiece to the air, and have expanded the lineup, according to the sizes of the workpiece and the sites where the machine is installed.

The new model “IPC-V4” was developed from the research about the “recent on-site situation” of our customers who have ever chosen our machine. Below are those we learned:

(1) Since the space cannot be expanded, “the cell working table or regular working table should be small.”

(2) The working table is actually small. There are many to do on the table apart from the dust elimination. Those are prioritized. So, “there is no space on the table that a dust remover can occupy.”

(3) As practiced with air gun or as done for assembly, “dust is removed, preferably by the up-and-down motion.”

Learning the above, we have tried to solve customers’ problems with the concept of “foot-installed machine” that does not take up space on the desk and “vertical machine” that can be used by moving up and down the workpiece. And we have developed the IPC-V4.

The IPC-V4 can be installed between the legs when sitting, or between 2 workers standing side by side and shared by them.

VESSEL releases on April 2, 2021 “Cushion Drill Bit (for steel) 6-pc set 《No.AMD6P》”.

Cushion Drill Bit was launched in 2006. In 2016, we expanded the variation of drill diameter size to 40 sizes, which was at once doubled. In 2018, we released a 3-pc set and an assorted 14-piece set of which the detail was carefully selected among the best-selling 12 sizes. After that, having known that many people tend to buy the same size in bulk at pro shops, we have newly expanded the lineup of 6-pc sets of the same size drill bit, supplied in a package that is easy to purchase and convenient for storage.

VESSEL releases on February 2, 2021 “Magnet Catcher Short 《No.NMS-2P》”.

When tightening slim screws in interior work, recessed bits (bits with a thin and round shank) are often used because the tip is easy to see. Since the conventional magnetizer NMC was designed for the 6.4 mm shank, it should be attached to the hexagonal part (close to the ball groove) when using it with a recessed bit, and the magnetic force effect of the neodymium magnet could not be fully exerted because magnet is not at the tip-end side. This new “Magnet Catcher Short 《No.NMS-2P》” is compatible with the thin shank screwdriver or bit, and can be attached near the tip, and it is furthermore smaller and easier to use.

VESSEL releases on February 25, 2021 “Waist Tool Holder <TP series>”.

Since its launch, more than 500,000 pcs of the 220USB have been shipped. And we have received a comment from electricians, in particular, who use this product at a high rate, that the screwdriver drops from commercially available tool holders because of difference in the shapes, and that the 220USB is unexpectedly activated in such holder because the sliding switch is unintentionally ON.

Therefore, as a tool holder optimum for the 220USB, we will release 4 types of waist tool holder series, which were developed with the following basic concepts:

(1) Optimum size for storing the 220USB. (Of course, a normal screwdriver is also stored);

(2) Designed to prevent the bit sleeve of the 220USB from accidentally operating and dropping the bit;

(3) Breathable material that suppresses heat generation even when the 220USB is charged in the holder;

VESSEL releases on April 2, 2021 “Strong Magnet Catcher (No.SMBC)”

This product is the succeeding model to the screw catcher (BH-15 /16/17) that has been on sale since 1998. Some users gave us a comment on this product that, because of its thick and large size, the item on which the screw is tightened is not well seen.

Therefore, VESSEL has designed the “Strong Magnet Catcher (No.SMBC)”, new screw catcher that is smaller and slimmer than the conventional model. The SMBC is of a rounded shape that is not interfered with the surroundings.

The SMBC is made with the aluminum material and lighter than the conventional model (5.1g). By coloring with alumite treatment, it stands out in a shop’s display and makes it easier for customers to pick it up.

A small but powerful neodymium magnet is adopted as the magnet. The screw head is pulled toward the SMBC by magnetic force and held firmly.

In addition to the single item, a set item (supplied with a bit) is also available.
